In the role of Shipping Coordinator you work in the logistics team. As a team, you are responsible for all logistical movements within the organization, where you are mainly concerned with the cost-conscious shipping of our projects and spares. The moment a shipment is ready for transport, you contact the carrier and agree on a pick-up date and you ensure that the necessary transport documents have been drawn up. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong during transport, you will settle the damage. In addition, you have contact with the stakeholders involved, such as the customer, the carrier, the insurer and the colleagues involved. Because we want to limit the CO2 emissions associated with transport as much as possible, you, together with the transporter, provide insight into what those CO2 emissions are and you try to keep those CO2 emissions as low as possible by combining shipments.

Job Requirements

– Within this position you are a spider in the web between Project Management, Logistics, Finance and Assembly

– You prepare transport and shipping orders for worldwide shipments via various carriers and modes of transport (land / sea / air)

– You seek daily coordination with our assembly department about the progress so that timely preparations can be made for packing ready sections

– You maintain contacts with freight forwarders

– You draw up export and transport documents

– You support in the delivery of customs documents

– You support in the continuous improvement of (logistics) processes.
