As Senior Software Architect, you will work with colleagues from related disciplines and focus on (embedded) software in precision development. The engineering teams you work with consist of people from different competences, such as mechanical, electrical and mechatronics. You are Responsible for the technical functionality and quality of the design from concept to integration and will set up a monodisciplinary architecture to meet the technical requirements set by the customer. You will guide the project team on the technical side and translate the requirements into concrete user stories for the Software Design Engineers. We strive for one architecture in all projects and adjust where needed, the Software Architect will play a big role in creating this standards. You will review, improve and maintain the architecture using clear documentation towards engineers and stakeholders.
The Senior Software Architect is part of a software development team whose work is unique in the sense that manufacturing almost invariably plays an integral role in the projects. That is why the in-house NTS manufacturing companies represent key stakeholders who need to be continuously kept up-to-date. Clear and transparent communication is key. You pro-actively mitigate risks and roadblocks while delivering your work on time according to deadlines and high quality standards. It is crucial to stay ahead of the change curve regarding developments in the world of software, team growth and personal development in your area of expertise, and be prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. You will have the ownership of Software competence development and helps the team’s development needs and growth path and peer coaching.

You bring a balance of technical and soft skills to the table. Your main scope and responsibilities cover the following competencies and experiences:
– Bachelor’s or/and Master’s degree or equivalent experience;
– Minimum of 10 years’ experience as Software Architect, preferably within the high tech or equivalent;
– Experience with creating detailed plans to help define the team’s path forward;
– Good at stakeholder network management and cross-functional communication is key;
– You know how to convey complex topics in understandable wording;
– Eager to learn and develop in the high-tech market;
– Proficient English language skills.
