At Uniekaas in Kaatsheuvel we have jobs available for production workers who can work in 3 or 2 shifts.

What will you be doing?
At Uniekaas the original Dutch cheese is processed into blocks, sliced and grated. You can work as a cutter, packer or slicer.

As a cutter you make sure that the right cheese is placed on the productionbelt of the machine. In doing so, you make sure that the process runs properly. You may have to put the pieces in the plastic containers and after each order you make sure the area is clean and ready for the next order.

As a packer, you will be at the end of the line. You make sure that the packed cheese in the boxes is packed correctly and you stack the boxes on the pallet. You do this together with your colleagues and take turns in doing so. You can also be working at the box-folding machine or you may have to sticker / label the boxes manually.

As a slicer you make sure the wax layer is removed from the cheese. This is more physically demanding work, but you are rewarded with a bonus per shaved cheese. This can go up to €60 or more netto per week.

In Dutch the positions would be productiemedewerker snijder, inpakker en schaver.

So plenty of choice.
The times for the shifts are from:
6:00 to 14:00 hour
14:00 to 22:00 hour
22:00 to 06:00 hour

You switch the shifts every week. So one week in the early shift, the week after the late shift, and after that the night shift.
You can also decide to work only in a 2 shift system. You can decide which shifts you want to work.

Functie-eisen

• You are 18 years or older.
• You are physically fit. You stand and walk all day and pick up the cheeses that can weigh about 15 kg each.
• You speak and understand Dutch and/or English.
• You are available in at least 2 shifts.
• For you it is okay to work in a cooled environment in around 10 degrees, You will be working with cheese, and therefore the temperature of the workplace is cooler.
• You are available from Monday to Friday. Occasionally, you will also work on Saturdays, but you will be asked beforehand.
• You need to have your own transportation to get to the workplace in Kaatsheuvel. This is difficult to reach with public transport,
• It is required that you have your own housing, Start People does not offer accomodation.
  It is possible to work part-time. However, you must be able to work a full shift. This means morning, afternoon or evening.
