Manpower is looking for a planning engineer for a client at Schiphol Airport.

As a planning engineer you will be involved in the following tasks:

• Reporting and supporting the operations manager in planning an optimal use of the warehouse and driving and leading implementation of improvement projects and change requests
• Supporting the creation of an end-to-end logistics process concept that enables a perfectly synchronized material and information flow
• Providing an IT landscape concept with best-in-class IT solutions and digitalization in the area of warehouse management
• Taking responsibility for digital concept and process design and gathering requirements from Technology Manager
• Leading the topic discussions, organizes exchange with internal and external partners and the implementation for the applications from business side
• Functioning as a person of contact for all warehouse management digital relevant topics
• Processing consulting for business units and/or logistics facilities on an operational level and ensuring requirements and processes are implemented according to the requirements
• Leading or supporting training material and document creation and gathering requirements from continues improving

Functie-eisen

• Bachelor’s degree (or above) in computer science, business administration, industrial engineering, information technology or supply chain
• Skilled work with FlexSim (or Chinese speaking)
• SAP knowledge, or other top brand WMS
• Experience on manual and automation warehouse, and WCS integration knowledge
• Experience on WMS interface with 3rd party systems, like MES, ERP, TMS
• Fluent in English, because of the communication and able to work in an intercultural environment
• Supply chain and a IT background is not mandatory 

Living near Schiphol is a bonus but not mandatory!
