As a senior network engineer you are the technical hub in the web for Corporate Internet service of the client

You agree with the:

• customer for technical questions,
• operators and KPN technicians for installation or migration,
• fellow network engineers for coaching, feedback and technical training and improvements,
• technical administrators when problems occur on the customer’s network,
• Service Delivery project leaders for planning and technical questions,
• technical consultants for migration plans and customization and
• various colleagues from other departments for (technical) coordination.

In short, you are a technical knowledge source in the field of Cisco technology!

Based on complex customer orders, the senior network engineer designs the Cisco router / switch configuration for a new delivery or change. 

The senior network engineer thinks along with the customer from the order and the network of the customer. And is a sparring partner for technical consultants and innovation. If necessary, the senior network engineer helps with the installation or complex migration.

The senior network engineer distinguishes himself by a coaching role towards his colleagues, steering role in the department and advising management on the work package. All network engineers look critically at the current processes and systems and seek improvements to deliver the customer faster and first time right. In particular, the opportunities for automation and thus a reduction of systems, simplification of processes and more challenging work for the network specialist are being sought

 Mandatory Skills:

• College education
• CCNA + CCNP certified
• Excellent communication skills
• At least 6 years of work experience in a comparable position within telecom, banking etc.
• Demonstrated understanding of project delivery framework
• Demonstrated ability to influence with strong negotiation skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a global work environment
• Analyses industry trends and contribute to standards and strategic planning of future solutions.
• Self-starter with good analysis and problem solving skills

 Soft Skills:

• Experience in large scale network enviroment
• Experience in performing project quality assurance
