Your challenge as Logistic & Industrial Expert

Key person that is embedding supply chain and industrialization expertise for multiple plants in the service Benelux organisation.

Example of a working day

In the morning you are visiting the plant in Rotterdam to help the team of maintenance people to resolve the issues when closing service orders with their tablet. In the afternoon you catch up with some Key Users of SAP via teams to follow-up on the action plan to get a delivery process operable. You included a central expert, because you noticed the error is structural in the core model. At the end of day, you are updating your Kanban board to have a clear view on the status of all the issues and discuss the priorities with your manager. Next day you will be in Bruges to advice the shop floor team in a new work centre layout, and coding of those in SAP. Also a project there needs a blue logistic print, where you have the know-how. At the end of the week you feel proud that you have helped a lot of people and bring Alstom to the next level, step by step.

Tasks & Responsibilities

You are the supply chain & industrial Method & Tools responsible. You align the plants in the use of the Alstom standard ERP landscape and the Alstom Performance System and tools. You resolve complex issues related to the use of the ERP system, you are a SAP “firefighter”. You participate in a network of industrial and supply chain people. You bring expertise in the setup and implementation of the industrial maturity follow-up plan(s) and definition of industrial work package schedule(s). You lead improvements projects and programs, that change ways of working. You lead industrial transfers and greenfield development.

You connect the blue collar worker; explain and train e.g. digital work instructions, service execution system, manufacturing execution system, barcode, touch screens, tablets. You give the shop floor a technology boost; e.g. 3D-printing, Internet Of Things (IoT), data analysis, digital planning and presentation.

You contribute in the professional delivery of logistic and industrial deliveries; materials, inventory management, ERP and documentation, depot facilities, jigs, tools, digital connection, routings, costs and task times. You participate in make-or-buy decisions. For a few complex projects you execute Logistics & Industrialization tasks yourself.

Your colleagues

You will work within our expert team (~ 4 people) and with operations teams across Benelux existing of shop floor people, supply chain, warehousing, maintenance teams. For multi discipline topics you work with Project Management, Engineering, Product Introduction, Finance, Quality. And for complex projects you also face our customers. You will work in a dynamic environment with different cultures and backgrounds. We need to be agile, act as one team and serve our customers!

Functie-eisen

The ideal Logistic & Industrial Expert

You have at least 10 years of experience in OEM production or maintenance, rolling stock or supply chain for after sales. You have a higher education degree in Supply Chain or Industrial management. You have leadership skills, good at indirect management and have positive influence. You have experience in structural improvements and digitalization. You are a very experienced SAP user, having full overview of related business processes. Furthermore you have reporting and planning skills. You can handle a high amount of issues. Dutch & English language both verbal & writing. The job requires to travel frequently to Benelux sites for one day. Lives near Rotterdam.
