As a Junior Business Systems Analyst in Amsterdam, under the supervision of the Business Systems Analyst Manager, you interact with clients to determine any modifications that need to be made to an application. You work on client implementations by a suite of products from contract stage up to handover.

You will operate a real-time, multi-currency, deposit and loan core banking system developed as a single integrated solution. You are required to become the expert of this system and therefore are required to have a retail banking business background. To be a successful candidate, you will use your knowledge to assess needs, provide expert requirements analysis, formulate work estimates, contribute to project planning and help design solutions in cooperation with technical development resources. You have the ability to create and offer alternative solutions to clients and developers alike and have a penchant for removing or working around obstacles that block a project’s success.  As Junior Business Systems Analyst, you play a valuable and contributing part in the success of these large scale and often high profile projects.

General duties and responsibilities include:

-Performs client interviews to establish business requirements

-Takes responsibility for adhering to project plans, ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time.

-Ability to translate business requirements into structured form.

-Performs gap-analysis with the assistance of other team members.

-Performs review, analysis and evaluation of business and user requirements.

-Writes documentation of detailed business requirements and business flows for development projects.

-Reviews all design solutions for accuracy and adherence to the business requirements.

-Gives design input through knowledge of software and industry to ensure all accommodations have been made.

-Answers functional questions about the system.

-Documents training materials and provides training if needed.

-Researches and documents bugs, communicates issues to developers and support staff and works the bug lists to ensure reasonable turnaround.

The preferred Junior Business Analyst possesses the following qualifications:

-Bachelor’s or master degree in Business or IT or Finance or a related field is preferred.

-Fluent in English.

-Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles.

-Proficiency in standard office software, such as MS Office, Visio, MS Access, etc.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organisation.

-Affinity with Information Technology (IT).

-Able and willing to travel in Europe for business trips with colleagues.

A successful Junior Business Systems Analyst will possess  the following skills:

-People skills: able to act with integrity and respect for others, strong negotiation skills, political sensitive, professional impartial, service oriented, personal time management and ability to achieve success through exercise of influence.

-Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
