Java Development Specialist 
For the Rabobank Order Manager (ROM) team, the decoupling point between the Channels and the Payment factory, we’re in search for a senior Java developer. The ROM is available 24/7 and has high performance and availability standards. 
As a developer you are taking full responsibility in building and testing new JAVA code for the ROM. You must have a track record of building maintainable, scalable, and performant applications. You dare to challenge and to be challenged as well as be open in your communication towards your own team and other stakeholders. 

We’re working in full fledged DevOps teams. This means that you are not only responsible for changing and deploying your application, but also that you will do what is in the customers best interest to keep it stable. This includes standby shifts on weekdays and during the weekend. Also by focusing on far reaching automation for all testing, deploying and monitoring you will help to improve the DevOps delivery. You are capable of taking over the basic activities of other DevOps team members in case necessary, like performing business analysis, coding, executing tests or support activities. 

Our department 
The Payments Solutions domain is one of the five domains within the IT Systems organisation. The teams within this domain, will ensure the continuity and renewal of IT for the Payments chains. Government and supervisors pay great attention to the stability and security of our IT systems and at the same time the needs of customers change at a rapid pace . A 9+ customer experience and current developments such as mobile payments, instant payments, and new European legislation ask for flexible, reliable and excellent solutions. In the Payments chain, we are therefore working to incrementally renew crucial components. The goal is to accelerate the possibilities for faster, more efficient and cheaper product innovation. In addition, in the area Savings and Investments, labor-intensive manual processes are automated by principles of straight-through processing (STP). Also, the domain has an important role in IT support in the field of fraud detection, integrity and law & regulations. 

Within the PS domain the Payments cluster (or subdomain) is responsible for the Channel Support applications which serve Order Management and Payments processing originating the Corporate Payment Transaction Channels. The main themes here are: Corporate Cash management, eg the client migration to and renewal of RIB-Pro, Instant Payments and the Renewal of the overall Channel Support applications such as ROM.

Your profile 
For this position we are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge and experience. 

The must-haves: 
o BSc in Computer Science or equivalent degree; 
o Fluent English is a must; 
o 5+ years experience as a JAVA developer using JEE standards (EJB/CDI); 
o 5+ years experience building high performance applications (threading and multi processing); 
o Ability and willingness to write highly structured, high performant, easy to understand and well documented software; 
o Demonstrated ability to follow development best practices for high quality software (CI tools: Jenkins, Bamboo etc); 
o Experience with writing unit and integration tests; 
o Willingness to follow bank and team guidelines and standards regarding development; 
o Experience with SOAP, JMS messaging and Hibernate; 
o Working knowledge of source control software such as Git; 
o Working knowledge of the Atlassian suite (JIRA and Confluence); 
o Exposure to Agile development methodologies; 
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; 
o Must be able to brainstorm and communicate ideas with your teams as well other stakeholders; 
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills; 
o Willingness to learn new technologies and implement in short time; 
o Comfortable working in a multi-discipline team. 

Nice-to-Haves: 
o Experience with functional test automation; 
o Experience with MyBatis. 
o Experience with Oracle (RAC) DBMS. 
o Experience with Linux.
