For our international client in Amsterdam you are, or will become, a master in data structures, distributed data computing, platform diagnosis, response and performance applications, measurement, and automation. You will help to further design and build the operational scalability that sustains the platform’s insane growth. You will measure your success and it all will be visible.

Must have or be;

-motivated and seriously interested in Distributed computing, concurrency and parallelism.

-Ability to turn numerical algorithms into code.

-Java,  Spring, Hibernate, RESTFul web services.

-Statistical analysis.

-Java performance optimizations and data structures.

-Good written and oral communication skills.

-Good inter-personal skills or a likable personality.

Nice to have experience with;

-Distributed Computing.

-Distributed programming using grid computing.

-NoSQL solutions.

-Unix based operating systems (Linux, Solaris, AIX).

-Web/Application Servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere).

Some responsibilities.

-Design, develop and test elegant Java software’s using high performance data structures, algorithms to implement cutting-edge data analytics systems.

-Share knowledge with team members.

-Evaluate, recommend and implement appropriate analytical functions to help create more analytical reports.

-Maintain and refactor existing code by analysing and identifying areas for modification/improvement.

-Research and investigate new technologies and update on multiple coding languages.

-Develop automated test for new/existing code.

-Ensure high quality feature development on a timely fashion.

-Utilise open source projects for solving complex problems.

-Support the product by monitoring and identifying software defects.

-Liaise with Java and QA teams to ensure sufficient knowledge transfer to enable testing.

-Identify and resolve implementation, performance and support issues with other Java technical team members.
