We are hiring!
Our client is specialist in converting (waste) heat into valuable green electricity. A still largely unknown technology which provides a lot of money for the customer. They are looking for an International Sales Manager, with experience in selling capital-intensive products.
You will secure business from new and existing customers in new and existing markets. This is a versatile and independent role with significant degree of freedom and need for solid commercial judgement. While the sales results are personal achievements, there is a significant amount of information sharing and best-practice exchange in how to be successful.
Launching an innovative, capital-intensive energy efficiency product that requires subsidies is typically an involved sales process that often takes 12 months and requires working with multiple stakeholders and technical, commercial and legal matters. Managing this process requires the ability to handle complexity, a good business sense to identify the right opportunities as well as significant persistence.
Responsibilities:
- Build business cases
- Create and manage marketing campaigns in his/her region / market
- Engage with prospects, distributors and agents
- Develop leads into opportunities and close deals
- Hand over projects after order has been confirmed to project management; support where needed as escalation level during execution and service phase
- Monitor competition and general market trends
- Manage distributors/agents, set and agree annual sales targets and bonus schemes
- Modify and negotiate the contractual relationship as the business relationship develops
- Coordinate the application between the engineering and sales teams (e.g. product innovation, market needs etc.)International business travel will be expected to be around 25% of your time

What do we expect:
- HBO degree or university degree in Sales, Engineering or Business / Economics
- Appropriate work experience in capital goods business and indirect sales business desirable
- Affinity with technology
- Self-starter with strong business sense
- Experience in launching an innovative product in a new market
- Proven ability to do business within different cultures and willingness/ability to travel
