Together with your local HR support staff, you support all layers of the local site. The HR Manager advise, coach and guide. As a sparring partner, you will discover where the needs of the departments lie for the future. You turn that need into action to support the future goals of the department and the company.
The organization has a real hands-on mentality. As a HR Manager, in addition to being a strategic thought partner, you are also involved in directing and assisting in the daily HR work for the Venray and Apeldoorn locations. The local HR Manager is responsible for all parts of HR, from oversight of administrative HR functions such as payroll and time and attendance, to leading strategic projects and process improvements for the sites.
You will be involved with all departments of the local organization, and sit on the leadership team that sets direction for the Netherlands sites. You will help to assess short and long term needs, advise and partner with the leadership team, and determine local strategy of the HR Team. You will function as the point of contact for the Netherlands on the Global HR team, and have exposure to the global strategy as well.
Job Responsibilities:
• Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning;
• Serve as a trusted business partner and coach for frontline leadership;
• Observe and provide feedback to leaders on how they can be more effective in communicating priorities, setting expectations, providing resources, removing barriers to success, giving feedback (both good and bad), recognizing great performance and holding employees accountable when their performance is not meeting expectations;
• Manage the staffing process for both full-time and temporary resources;
• Manage the annual performance management and merit increase process for assigned client groups;
• Partner with department leadership to determine employee training needs and develop, coordinate and/or conduct training;
• Manage onboarding and exit processes;
• Partner with leaders to develop and implement strategies to drive positive employee relations and effective 2-way communication;
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law;
• Lead HR process improvement initiatives as assigned; work with other members of the HR team to create and implement consistent HR processes, practices and policies (onboarding, exiting, staffing, attendance, etc.);
• Provide support and guidance to HR Support Staff, including direct performance management, coaching and development, and act as an escalation point for more complex decisions and advice.

• You have at least a completed HBO education;
• You have 5 to 10 years of work experience in this field;
• You communicate (word/script) easily in Dutch and English;
• You keep an overview, but you can also work in detail and precisely;
• You know how to tackle and dare to take initiatives to initiate changes;
• You have a good sense of organizational sensitivity, are proactive and connecting;
• You know how to tackle, are willing to learn and know how to easily switch between different levels and / or tasks;
• You are available parttime or fulltime (32 – 40 hours).
