As part of the core development team, you will work with architects, engineers and management to design new market-leading solutions. You will also be at the forefront of solving customer issues as the client prides their selves on their responsiveness to their customer base. All development takes place in an Agile environment modified to suit their unique needs. They believe in the combination of three core development approaches: Agile, Scrum and SOLID. The engineering organization is flat and hands-on.

Who are they looking for?

Our respected client in Amsterdam is looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

The ideal candidate has an excellent eye for detail, pragmatic approach and an absolute commitment to making sure features are well implemented and bug free. The employer makes all of their decisions based on experiments and testing, so you should be excited by taking a data-led approach to development. If you believe you’re also a passionate advocate for the user, and are looking to work in an Agile, collaborative environment than they would definitely  like to hear from you!

Furthermore, you take responsibility for getting things done in a reasonable time frame. So when you say something will be done you almost always keep your word. Being the Front-end developer; 

-You build reusable code and libraries for future use.

-You have experience troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility issues.

-You collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

-You have 3+ years of experience in a relevant role.

-You have experience with data-driven product development: analytics, A/B testing, etc.

-You have knowledge of version control systems.

-You have proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.

-You have basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.

-You have proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.

-You have experience in SPA javascript frameworks specially AngularJS 1.x, and Angualr 2.

-You are experienced in CSS frameworks like bootstrap.

-Hands on http and javascript debugging and diagnostic tools.

-Basic Http protocol and methods understanding.

Responsibilities of the Front-end developer;

-Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning features using JavaScript and HTML/CSS.

-Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

-Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.

-Continuously look for ways to improve your employer and implement A/B tests.

-Develop new user-facing features.

-Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end.
