As Financial Controller you will oversee a dedicated real estate fund. The main responsibilities are in the areas of quarterly financial reporting, managing audit of the fund, managing fund liquidity and operational involvement in investments of the fund.
Key characteristics of the role are self-starter, independence and entrepreneurial. Whilst there are processes in place across the various funds to ensure consistency and efficiency, there is plenty of room to organise your work in your own way and to set own priorities and focus areas.
The role is in an international environment. You will work in a small team in the Amsterdam office and will collaborate with colleagues in London and operating partners of the fund’s investments across Europe which gives an extra dimension to the role. Whilst currently all communication goes online and by phone, in future there will be travel involved in this role to collaborate with the colleagues in London and visit investments and operating partners across Europe.
The successful candidate will report on a day-to-day basis to the Senior Fund Controller, who is also based in Amsterdam. The role enables and requires exposure to all levels within the firm. The role provides development opportunities via training on the job, learning by doing and relevant training, courses or studies. Growth into a more senior role comes with further experience in accounting, audit, reporting as well as complexity of issues and situations and taking up directorships on projects.
