Our client is an Amsterdam-based scale-up involved in providing turn-key Smart Home Automation solutions. Founded in 2015 by a core group of IoT developers from Delft and having received second level funding last year, they are now looking to expand their team with bright and creative young talent. One core aspect of this is building up a Business Development team. Staying true to the start-up disruption mentality, they are not looking for the run-of-the-mill cold-caller, but rather someone with a fresh viewpoint who can bring novel approaches and wild ideas to reaching new market segments. Think gamified referral systems integrated into the clients’ control consoles. Seeking partnerships with interior design influencers. Virtual reality tours showcasing the ultimate integrated home experience. Have some own? The floor is yours.
Your role
- Developing novel outreach programs and driving them through from conception to execution
- Working shoulder-to-shoulder with a mixed team of UX designers, AI developers, growth marketers and outside advisors
- Dedicating one day per week to Product Development to help create what you would genuinely enjoy selling
- Building your own customer networks, establishing and maintaining rapport, pushing for successful word-of-mouth recognition
- Tracking, analyzing and AB-testing your own initiatives, sharing your successes and failures at the monthly learning workshops, and contributing to the shared knowledge repositories
- Traveling twice a year to thriving tech hubs around the world to learn from competitors and collaborators alike. Representing the vision at conferences, such as CES.

Your profile
You have at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree, in Business Analysis, Business Engineering, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, Industrial Design or some related field. You have at least 1-2 years of experience in a position related to Sales, Product Development, Project Management or Team Leading.
