For our client in Veghel we are looking for a mechanic who assembles trailer axles according to the wishes of the customer.

Every day your day starts at 08:00 with a kick-off. In this kick-off it is discussed which orders have been received, which orders have priority, from whom what is expected and any details for the day. After this you will work together with two colleague mechanics and a warehouse employee. The final assembly of our client’s product (trailer axles) is done in two phases.

Phase One:
1. Correct adjustment of the shock absorbers. These are adjusted to the correct distance with an air-driven machine.
2. Adjust axles to the correct width. You move the axles with a gantry crane so that they can be hoisted into the machine. The machine ensures that the shaft is set to the correct width. You fix this with an impact wrench that, given the weight, is moved with the gantry crane.

Phase Two:
3. Depending on the order, optional mounting material for the trailer can be mounted. This is secured with bolts that are tightened with a 3.5 kg battery impact wrench. The bolts are then all tightened again with a wrench.
4. Finally, the brake cylinders are mounted in the same way as the mounting material.

The machines that are used are correctly set up during installation and are repaired externally in the event of a malfunction. When the trailer axles are ready, they are collected on trestles and prepared for transport. These sheerlegs are provided with metal plates with a registration number. If these are lost or damaged, they will be replaced by you or your colleague. On average, three trailer axles are assembled per person per day. Because there is a small team there will be good guidance. During your training period you will go through all the steps and you will be taken along by a buddy so that you can eventually get started independently.

The working days are from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30 (including 3x break)

Functie-eisen

• You speak the Dutch or English language
• You have a technical background, this may be with a lot of experience, but also if you are interested because you like to work at home, for example!
• Hands on mentality, you see the work and get to work immediately
• Being in possession of a forklift certificate is an advantage
