Our respectable client develops innovative software products for the Healthcare IT industry with offices in Amsterdam, The Hague, and Rotterdam. They are also a  highly successful healthcare provider and looking out to permanently hire an Agile Software Tester to join their team.

For their office in Amsterdam, the Tester will be joining a team of talented, experienced, intelligent, developers building a software platform for delivering collaborative services. Our client is interested in versatile Agile Software Testers who will be joining a team to execute and coordinate the testing processes across their products and services.

This is an exciting opportunity for mediocre and senior experienced automation, manual, regression and Agile Software Tester to extend their skillset and push testing forward.

The Agile Software Tester, is part of a productive team consisting of developers and Testers. As an Agile Software Tester you work closely with the developers in testing the customized Healthcare applications; both using manual and automated testing. It may be occasionally required to visit customer sites to assist in testing & rolling out (beta) versions.

Responsibilities include:

-Collaborate with team members to write acceptance tests.

-Review story documentation to identify testing approaches, testing tasks and estimates, and automated test coverage.

-Collaborate with developers to discuss test plans/approach.

-Execute testing according to test plans.

-Identify test data and confirm results using SQL.

-Document bugs and verify bug fixes.

-Perform Exploratory Testing.

Required experience / skills:

+- 4 years of testing experience – preferably in a Scrum/Agile environment.

-Experience using a commercial test tool in which test cases are recorded and their execution planned.

-Experience using MS SQL: ability to create & maintain test data, examine production database and perform simple queries.

-Technically savy in a PC/Windows xp/7/8 environment.

-Pure development skills are not a must but affinity with test automation is. Ability to write simple scripts or tools (cmd or python) to facilitate the automated testing (e.g. gathering results or statistics from log/xml file). Ability to write automated test scripts using a web-based UI testing framework.

The Agile Software Tester should be:

-Highly observant, analytical, and probing – It’s second-nature to notice things like formatting issues on web pages, think about boundary value analysis and input validation when completing online forms, and to try to find bugs in applications the Tester personally uses.

-Agile – The Tester has experience with Agile teams. The Tester is comfortable being an integrated member of the development team and collaborating with the team during story review, test planning, development, and testing.

-Passionate about testing – The Tester reads testing blogs, articles, books, etc. to learn more about the craft. The Tester wants to improve own skills and the team’s testing processes, and tries new approaches and tools when doing so will help the team better its testing processes.
