As an order picker at Albert Heijn Online, you will collect the orders that customers have placed online. This way you make sure that all the groceries can be delivered to the customer on time. 

A scanner on your arm tells you exactly which groceries to pick. You walk through the aisles, picking the right products. After you have scanned them and all the groceries are in your cart, you deliver them to the next department. You start again at the beginning and start picking the next groceries. When all orders are packed you clean up the shop floor together with your colleagues. 

Because customers can order 24/7, the distribution center is also open 24/7. You will work in different shifts where it is important that you can work at least the morning shift and the afternooshift. Every week you will receive the planning for the next week. The shifts are as follows: 

Morning: 06:00-14:30  

Afternoon: 14:30-23:00  

Night shift: 23:00-06:00 (If you are well trained you can also work the night shift).  

When you start work you will be helped by a trainer who will make sure you learn quickly what you need to do. You work in an international environment where you work with people of different nationalities. It is therefore important that you speak basic English. 

During the break you can use the spacious canteen. Here you can buy food, quietly eat your own meal or relax with your colleagues during a game of table soccer. If you work the afternoon shift, a free meal is waiting for you.

Are you motivated to work as an order picker? Then we will train you to become an order picker. 

For this position it is important that you: 

•    Are available at least 32 hours per week and can also work on Saturdays. 
•    Physically fit. You easily walk more than 15 kilometers per day and find working in a refrigerated environment no problem 
•     In possession of your own transportation so you can come to work in the morning as well 
•    You speak English. This in connection with the work and safety
