SDP is seeking an energetic DevOps Engineer who will be tasked with ensuring that technical operations continue to evolve to efficient, automated executions supporting both front and back end development teams. In this role, you will contribute to the overall technical operations plan (procedures, policies, tools, analytics, etc), ensure consensus on the priorities and approach, and execute effectively toward tasks on the product roadmap. The role will interact with the development, operations and product teams helping to ensure all requirements are met and dependencies are tightly managed.
Responsibilities;
-Develop automated tools/scripts.
-Provision and manage infrastructure supporting SAAS Application.
-Maintain and optimize a CI build process.
-Be willing to learn on the fly, but also know when to ask questions.
-Drive the maintenance and optimization application service alarms so the team can rest easily at night.
-Monitor, detect and respond to anomalies in production systems.
-Share and be open to new ideas and ways of getting things done.
-Monitor and improve application and network security.
Skills;
-Experienced working with sensitive data.
-Proficient with development tools (Git, Chef, Puppet, CI/CD).
-Strong understanding networks and network protocols.
-Experience with scripting tools and languages (Python, Go, Bash, Ruby, etc.).
-History managing open source databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
-Adept at using multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows).
-Exceptional team player.
Qualifications;
-Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar).
-At least three years of hands on work experience in DevOps.
-Strong team member; must be very good listener and an excellent communicator.
-Creative problem solving skills and very high bias for action.
-Passion for new technologies.
-Focused on done-well over done-fast.
-Self-motivated, passionate and a strong sense of ownership.
